In 2022/23, the Canals, Communities & Wellbeing project brought together Glandŵr Cymru, Canal & River Trust in Wales, two local Wildlife Trusts and local councils to enhance the connection between the canals and the community. Working with stakeholders, including local community groups, we researched, planned, designed and delivered four bilingual visitor interpretation boards that would capture people’s attention and encourage them to engage more with the canals, their wildlife and opportunities for active travel.
